More beautiful snow photos

Thought these photos were really pretty of the road coming toward our house, you can actually see our red barn just beyond the pond.
This is a view of the road a little further up from the pond.

God's Handiwork !

This morning as was the forecast we woke up to about 3 inches of very pretty snow. It is really a pretty site to see on all the trees and the ground covered just enough to look beautiful.
My snowman flag is really appropriate for the day.

This is the woods behind our house.

Psalm 147: 16
He gives (to the earth) snow like ( a blanket of) wool.

Mac was out clearing our drive so it would melt and make driving easier. It is up to 35 degrees now and the sun is peeping thru so maybe some will melt from the roads and it won't be too slick on the main roads for everyone going out to church in the morning.

This is the woods beside our house and I thought the flag looked really pretty blowing in the wind.

Christmas Cooking Baking 2009 with the Grandchildren

First, I want to wish everyone a "Very Merry Christmas" This is our Christmas card for this year with all our grandchildren. Dallas and Kelli couldn't be here to have fun making cookies since their college is not out for the holidays yet but they will be joining us for Christmas Eve. We are all looking forward to being together again.

The girls had fun cutting out different shapes of the cookies. Then Bethany made different colors of frosting so they had fun with sprinkles and decorating them as they desired.

TaraKate made this cute candy cane.

Marisa made a cute snowman.

Some of the pretty cookies!

Tia with her Christmas tree cookie.

I think Bethany made this cute little heart.

Trixie came too and she tried her best to find any crumbs she could eat. Once I did see a little blob of icing on the floor and when I went to get it, well needless to say it was gone.

Two cute snowmen.

Well here I am with all my sweet girls. I know why they call them grandchildren because mine are all grand. I really think I have the grandest ones of all. God is good!

This is a cute picture of TaraKate with Trixie at the top of the stairs. Trixie knows we are all downstairs in the family room but she doesn't want to go down the stairs.

The girls always do some kind of craft. These reindeer were a little different than the paper bag ones they have made before. They had a cloth body.

Isn't Tabi cute with her reindeer?

Papaw with his favorite girls.

Thankful Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving Day with our wonderful family. This is all the grandaughters. They all had so much fun being together playing games and eating all day.
Trixie came too and was so cute. She is a good puppy and makes herself at home just like the girls. I think she knows it is her grandparents home now.
Tia and TaraKate wore their Pilgrim dresses and brought their American girl dolls with their matching dresses. Don't they look so cute!!

We had so much food and everyone was really stuffed. It was a wonderful day of just being together eating and having a good time relaxing and enjoying the holiday.
I meant to take some more photos of the food but when everyone got here I forgot to do that. We are so thankful for another wonderful year. God is so good!

Her very creative Mommy also made this monkey cake for her since she loves monkeys. It was really cute and TaraKate really liked it.

The napkins and plates were so bright and pretty. We all had a great time together celebrating TaraKate's birthday.

"Happy Grandparents Day 2009"

Today was the Annual Grandparents Day at School. Since we have 2 in school we had lunch twice so we could be with each one for lunch, but on the way to school we stopped by and left a sack lunch for little Tabi so she could enjoy Grandparents day too even though she isn't in school yet. She acted so cute and just smiled and made sure she said "Thank you Mamaw and Papaw'
Tia's lunch was first so we ate with her and then she was so anxious to show us her room. She had made the sweetest 'Thank you" card for us.

Her room was so neat. Not sure if you can read the card but if you click on it it may come up big enough to see it. It was so sweet.

Tia showed us her History book and what they had been studying today.
She really likes this book and you can see her sweet smile as she tells Papaw about it.
This was a paper that Tia's class had done and Tia has an A+ 100% on it and they had it displayed in the hallway for everyone to see.
Next was time for us to eat with TaraKate. This is a large picture that someone has painted on the wall. I thought it was so neat and TaraKate had on the right colors to match it so I took her picture, There are some other pictures in the gym similar that some talented person has done.

This is the door to TaraKate's room. The room is decorated in a Jungle Theme and is so cute.

TaraKate made a cute picture decorated with macaroni and colored really pretty.

This is a calendar in her room and if you can see it there is a special little picture on the day next week that is TaraKate's birthday and she wanted us to notice that.

This is some of the class on the playground and they were having so much fun enjoying the beautiful day. We enjoyed our day visiting the school today

We had a wonderful visit and it was such a nice day to be outside. We certainly enjoyed Grandparents Day with our sweet little girls.

Tia's 10 th Birthday

On Sunday we were invited to celebrate Tia's tenth birthday. Her birthday was actually on Monday. Here the 5 grandaughters are ready to see Tia open her gifts. It is hard to believe Tia is ten already. Seems like she has grown up so fast.
Mommy (Tina) made this delicious cheesecake for her. Tia loved it. Strawberries are her favorite thing so this was a really big hit

As you can see Tinley their new puppy was right there too. He is so cute and the girls love him and have so much fun playing with him

After the party the girls went outside to enjoy the nice day. We have been having some wonderful weather lately. There are a few signs that fall is very near but it has been wonderful outside the last week. We are so thankful for these great days.
