Valentine's Day with my Hubby!

This morning we decided to go on a little road trip to celebrate Valentine's Day and ended up at French Lick for lunch. They have a new Black Buggy Restaurant in French Lick and it was really good. A couple of our friends were there too, so got to visit with them a little too..
After lunch we stopped by Patoka Lake at one of the launching ramps just to enjoy the view. Even though it was chilly there was a man fishing.

This was the mans vehicle parked there and you could see him on one of the docks. He had a beard and I saw this on the window and I said he looks like Santa Claus. Anyway we decide to be friendly and see if he was catching any fish so we proceeded to walk down there.

Don't you think he reminds you of Santa Claus. Well we started talking to him and he actually had some nice fish. I asked him if he lived in this area and he told me where he lived and he said I work at Santa Claus Land. I am Santa. I thought it was so neat to see Santa at the lake. He said this is one of his favorite things to do. Well guess what I just happened to be holding my camera and ask him if I could take his picture and he said yes. I ask if I could put it on facebook and he said you can put it anywhere you want so here he is and of course I had to have one of me and Santa too. I would have never guessed I would see Santa on Valentine's Day especially at the lake fishing.

Snowy day yesterday, Sunny day today!

This picture was actually taken yesterday. It just kept snowing off and on all morning so I just peeped out the front door and took a few pictures. It has snowed so much this winter. School has been cancelled and some days have been 2 hour delays. Some of the roads we had to travel on to get to church this morning were solid ice and very slick. It is so amazing today the temperature is in the 40's now and I sure hope it thaws out the roads that were so slick this morning. I am so happy to see the sun shining a little.
After church I made homemade vegetable beef soup. It was really yummy. It may look like pickles in my bowl but it is actually zucchini from our garden that I had frozen. It also has green beans, corn, peas, carrots, tomatoes and potatoes.

I really like the verse that was on the front of our church bulletin this morning. this is my prayer.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you,O LORD.
Psalm 19:14

Finally I am back!

This is a little late getting posted but what can I say except time has gone way to fast for me lately. I can hardly believe it is 2011 and now into February. Way back in September my computer went bad and I had to get a new one and would you believe it had to be sent back to the factory to be fixed too. Then to top it off everything was so different than my old one so I have had to learn how to do everything in a different way. Guess when you get older it just takes more time to learn new things. Anyway here I am with the picture of my wonderful Grandchildren from Christmas Eve. They are so precious to me and I love spending time with them. We had a wonderful Christmas being together.
