God's Handiwork !

This morning as was the forecast we woke up to about 3 inches of very pretty snow. It is really a pretty site to see on all the trees and the ground covered just enough to look beautiful.
My snowman flag is really appropriate for the day.

This is the woods behind our house.

Psalm 147: 16
He gives (to the earth) snow like ( a blanket of) wool.

Mac was out clearing our drive so it would melt and make driving easier. It is up to 35 degrees now and the sun is peeping thru so maybe some will melt from the roads and it won't be too slick on the main roads for everyone going out to church in the morning.

This is the woods beside our house and I thought the flag looked really pretty blowing in the wind.

Welcome signs of spring.....

It was so good to see some of my crocus starting to bloom. I got so excited when I saw the first ones come out. I have been looking as it got a little warmer and finally they are popping up. I love these dark purple ones. They just started to bloom Saturday and right after the rain and I went out and took the picture. The raindrops were still on them and they kinda shined in the sun. If you click on the picture you can see the raindrops.

Actually these yellow ones and lavender crocus bloomed out first last week.

Isn't this so cute? Can you see the bluebird looking in my window? We love to see them but this one kept coming to the window. I think he saw himself in the window. It sort of looks like he was looking at my lighted church house.

The little Mrs bluebird sat on our bell for awhile and we got to enjoy her for a spell. She is not as bright as Mr bluebird but is really pretty too. She didn't want to turn her head towards me so I took her picture anyway. If you wait very long she will fly away so can't be too choosy which view I can get.

Mr bluebird sat on the bell too and looked so pretty. Mac held the blind slat open so I could snap his picture. You have to be quick though or he will fly away when he sees us.

It is so good to see the sunshine and the fresh signs of spring I am really looking forward to warmer weather.

flowers and butterflies

We have been seeing so many beautiful butterflies on our lilies and I was able to get a photo of one on the tiger lilies.

ISAIAH 40:8
The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever.
