Last day of May and Birthday

Mac celebrated his 71 st birthday this month and I almost let it slip by without putting on some photos of his special day. Tina and the little girls brought him a very delicious cheesecake and we enjoyed eating some of it together.

Kimberly and Bethany baked him his very favorite pineapple upside down cake. It was so neat and was so delicious too. Of course we ate some of it with them too. Marisa wasn't feeling well so she didn't get to come with them this time. Missed you Marisa.

My sweet sister and her husband and their 3 sons and daughter-in-law treated us by taking us out to eat for dinner at one of our local Mexican restaurants. It was so good. Can you imagine how many calories we consumed that day. It was good anyway! The picture above shows Mac holding one of his gifts, a special book made for our local basketball team that had an undefeated year. He was so proud of the team. He only missed one game the whole season.

Mac had a wonderful birthday and it was nice for me too since I got to enjoy it all with him.

We are thankful for our wonderful thoughtful family.

Another fun May day

We had another fun day with our youngest grandaughter on Thursday. Mommy had some fun things to do with big sister at school. They were having a field day and she was helping with that. Tabi came around 8 AM and stayed till about 3:30 so we had time to do more things together and it was a beautiful day to be outside. First off Papaw had been to the river and came back with some big fish and this is one of the nicest ones. I thought it would be neat to see just how big it looked beside such a tiny little girl.

Now its time to have fun with the bubbles. She was running to get the bubbles ready to use. She can run really fast and she is a busy little girl and says the cutest things.

She just kept spinning around and the wind would make the bubbles blow. Some of the bubbles were really big.

It was so fun watering Mamaw's flowers. She loved so much being outside and we enjoyed her so much. It was a really pretty day and we spent most of the day outside enjoying being together.
