Wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

Guess I am a little late posting my Christmas photos but I wanted to get them on before the New Year and so this is my last chance since this is the last day of the year. The photo above is all six of our grandchildren plus Kelli, Dallas's girlfriend. What a great bunch of sweet children. We love them all so much and thank God for giving us these precious children to enjoy.
Tia and TaraKate had so much fun playing with their American Girl dolls and Tia's new horse sent to her by her grandma in Texas.

Christmas Day, Tabi was all tuckered out and climbed on Papaw's lap and fell asleep. She had a great time playing with her new gifts and her cousins that she loves to be with. She was really worn out so took time out for a nap. Papaw didn't mind a bit and took advantage of being ale to hold her awhile. Most of the time she was too busy to stop.

We had a great Christmas this year with all our children and grandchildren being able to get together at the same time. It has been a tradition for us to be at Tina’s home on Christmas Eve and it was another great family time . Thanks Tina for hosting another Christmas Eve party for us all.
The photo above is all three of our grown children, Kimberly on the left and Ed in the middle and of course Tina on the right of Ed.

This is all of us together ready to feast on the delicious meal prepared mostly by Tina. Of course Kimberly is taking the photo so you cannot see her and little Tabi seemed to disappear amongst all the bigger ones but she is sitting in there somewhere. We have 15 altogether. We are looking forward to another great year, 2008 went so fast.

Christmas Cookie Baking Day 2008

We got together for our "Annual Christmas Cookie Baking Fun Day" with my precious grandaughters. They brought me a gift. Isn't it so cute and really fits the occasion. It is one of the Willow Tree figurines called Grandmother.

TaraKate and Tia cutting out their cookie while Marisa chooses which one she wants to use.

Marisa decorating her Christmas tree. Bethany made a cute bear and Tia a stocking.

Can you tell what is Tabi's favorite color?

This is all the decorated cookies. They looked so pretty when they finished with their decorating.

The girls wanted to do some crafts so I looked online and found this cute snowman paper bag puppet and Rudolph made by tracing around their shoe and then their hands.

Psalm 127:3 Behold, children are a gift of the Lord;

Last evening our daughter called and ask if we were free to keep the little girls and of course we were so glad to have them. After eating pizza we spent most of the evening in the family room watching a movie and just having some fun together.
If you give them some supplies like pencils, paper, stickers, stencils, scissors, they can come up with all kinds of ideas. Tia was so comfortable on the sofa watching the movie.

TaraKate enjoying her favorite cherry gum drop candy while watching the movie.

Taking time to make something with the stencils.

Tia thought she would help Santa and put these gifts under the Christmas tree.

TaraKate is holding a snowman ornament that her Mommy painted a very long time ago. There was a shop up town where you could buy these plaster paris ornaments and paint them yourself and they were so fun for the kids to do. The girls thought their mommy could paint really good and she could.

Tia is holding an ornament her Aunt Kim made at school many years ago. Isn't it neat? I like to put these handmade ornaments on the tree. It brings back many Christmas memories.

Tabi playing with the big doll house. It is a very old dollhouse that my sister had for her grandchildren and gave it to me for my grandchildren. All our granddaughters have enjoyed playing with it.

Doesn't Tabi look like a little doll sitting in the doll rocking chair?

TaraKate was so intent on drawing some little pictures with the stencils.

It was so fun being with all three little girls. It was a great evening for Mamaw & Papaw
Grandchildren are so special! We love them so much!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving day with our wonderful family. We hope you had a great day also.

The little girls looked so cute in their Pilgrim dresses.

Bethany's cute new puppy joined us for the first time and as you can tell the girls really enjoyed cuddling her.

Fall photos around our house

The little I voted graphic is from Karen at recycle bin graphics.
Thanks Karen!

Today I took this photo of Our Flag. I thought it looked so neat flying in the breeze and was so appropriate on election day.

My husband took these other pretty photos around our house this weekend. I thought they were so pretty I wanted to put them on my blog.
This one shows the road leading to the front of our house. The trees are getting so pretty with all the colored leaves.

Happy Birthday Tina

Well, this sweet daughter wasn’t born on Halloween but she was a treat too. Three years later and one day after Halloween in 1967 we were treated with another cute little baby girl. and someone to be a playmate and forever friend to a big sister who was now 3. What a joy to now have 2 little girls and one little boy to love and treasure.
